At Rocersa we are in luck! We have obtained the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD or GLOBAL EPD).
Just 6 months ago, Rocersa obtained ISO 14001 Certification and opened up a new range of possibilities and advantages over the competition. It is a public declaration of commitment to the environment that guarantees the sustainability of all our products.
After this important historical milestone, a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) was carried out with a Type III Ecolabel Declaration. This tool has been indispensable for obtaining another important certification, the GLOBAL EPD, complying with the International Standard ISO 14025 and ensuring the environmental excellence of our products and services. This verification is carried out by the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR) for the different products that will carry the Ecolabel.
The Ecolabel covers both porcelain (Group BIa) and porcelain tile (Group BIII) products, complies with ISO 14025 and ISO 21930 standards and describes environmental information related to the life cycle of ceramic tiles in a current geographic and technological environment in order to offer and contribute points in sustainable construction projects, such as BREEAM (SPAIN), LEED and GREEN SQUARE (USA), etc.
